LEAD ON: Values in Action™ Week, held Nov. 3–8, 2025, brought the TCU community together to celebrate the university’s strategic plan pillars — Student-Centered Growth, Community Engagement, Research, Scholarship & Creative Activities and Athletics — that are shaping TCU’s continued growth and impact.
The week culminated in the inauguration of Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin, marking TCU’s first chancellor transition in more than 20 years and signaling the next chapter in the university’s national trajectory.
Members of the campus community, civic and community leaders and delegates from other universities gathered in the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU for the inauguration ceremony of TCU’s 11th chancellor.
Among the many traditions during the ceremony, Chancellor Pullin was presented with the Chancellor’s Medallion — a necklace with engraved links that honor TCU’s lineage of chancellors — by Chancellor Emeritus Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
E. Gordon Gee, a five-time university president at institutions including West Virginia University, Vanderbilt University and Ohio State University, recognized TCU’s rising influence and Chancellor Pullin’s leadership in a guest speaker address.
In his inaugural address, Chancellor Pullin spoke of advancing TCU’s values of Integrity, Excellence, Community and Engagement to build the university of the future.
Values in Action Week started at Bass Performance Hall, where Chancellor Pullin and local leaders gathered for a public forum about the vital role universities play in fueling innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth.
Panelists included Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, TCU Chancellor Daniel Pullin, Texas Wesleyan University President Emily Messer, Tarleton State University President James Hurley, Texas A&M University System Chancellor Glenn Hegar, University of Texas at Arlington President Jennifer Cowley, Tarrant County College Chancellor Elva Concha LeBlanc and UNT Health Fort Worth President Kirk Calhoun. The panel was moderated by TCU Student Government Association President Reagan Stephens.
The panel concluded with a reception showcasing the innovative ways that the institutions and their student entrepreneurs are impacting North Texas and beyond.
The next evening, following the Fogelson Honors Forum with guest speaker Kendra Scott, the campus community gathered in the Campus Commons for a celebration with Chancellor Pullin that included music, food trucks and a drone show that lit up the night sky with symbols of TCU spirit, including the chancellor’s signature purple Converse shoes.
Midweek, students and faculty shared research projects and creative activities that reflect the depth and range of academic inquiry across campus. TCU also announced a $40 million naming gift for the Louise Dilworth Davis College of Science & Engineering, the largest philanthropic investment in the college’s 25-year history and among the largest gifts to the university.
The morning of the inauguration ceremony, Horned Frogs of all faith traditions gathered at University Christian Church for a special service in recognition of Chancellor Pullin’s leadership.
Values in Action Week concluded with TCU Football vs. Iowa State, where Chancellor Pullin cheered from the sidelines with his family and was honored at halftime with a special performance by the Horned Frog Marching Band.
