TCU Students Hop Around the Globe to Learn, Explore and Grow

From studying theatre in Ireland to rescuing rhinos in South Africa, TCU students made the most of their summer 2023 study abroad opportunities.

TCU Global, which fosters internationalization of the TCU community through global education, provides robust study abroad programs for Horned Frogs looking to extend their academic endeavors beyond TCU's Fort Worth campus.

In all, 40% of TCU students will participate in study abroad opportunities by the time they graduate. With semester-long offerings as well as shorter summer courses, there are a variety of ways students can fit study abroad coursework into their college experience.

Where Horned Frogs Study

This summer, 17 courses provided students with a wide range of immersive academic experiences within their fields of study, including business, environmental science, biology, music, child development, nursing, political science and much more.

Where Learning Comes to Life

Classroom learning can take students a long way, but nothing beats the hands-on experience of putting that learning into practice.

This summer, students in "South African Biodiversity and Human Development" explored the juxtaposition between South Africa's rapidly developing human population and the country's desire to preserve its heritage and biodiversity for future generations.

Seeing the Sights

Of course, no study abroad program would be complete without a little exploration. While the focus of TCU's study abroad courses is academic in nature, students have time to experience the beautiful sights, expansive history and rich culture of their surroundings.
