Known as the “Cultural Capital of the Southwest,” Fort Worth is alive with world-class music, theatre and art. And now, the arts scene is even more vibrant thanks to the addition of the region’s newest performance venue, the Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU (VCCH at TCU).
Named for the legendary pianist, international icon and beloved Fort Worthian Van Cliburn, the VCCH at TCU is an intimate, yet impressive, 717-seat concert hall with an acoustical volume similar to venues with double to triple the seating capacity.
Its size and sound capabilities are essential to showcase a range of performers — from TCU vocalists and instrumental ensembles to the professional pianists who compete in the world’s most prestigious piano contest: the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
This summer, the Cliburn will host the preliminary and quarterfinal rounds of its 16th annual competition in the hall that shares its namesake, becoming the first professional arts organization to perform in the venue since the TCU School of Music proudly celebrated its grand opening in April.
The preliminary and quarterfinal rounds of the 16th annual Cliburn International Piano Competition will be held in the VCCH at TCU June 2-6.
The TCU Music Center, which houses the VCCH at TCU, is an incredible resource for TCU’s award-winning music programs.
